The next step in Selenium installation is installing Eclipse IDE which requires Java JDK. Please refer to our previous article – How To Download & Install Selenium WebDriver – Part One for installation of Java JDK on Windows PC before going further .

Install Eclipse IDE :

In this article, we will explain the steps involved in downloading and installing the Eclipse IDE.

1. You could download the latest version of “Eclipse IDE for Java Developers” from the link shared below.

https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

2. Make sure you select the appropriate Windows 64-bit or 32-bit version.

3. Click on the downloaded installation .exe file

4. Installation wizard for Eclipse Installer opens up and click on Eclipse IDE for Java Developers option.

5. Make sure that the “Installation Folder” is set to C:\Users\Yourusername\Eclipse.

6. Once making sure that proper installation folder as mentioned in the previous step is configured, click the Install button.

7. Now you need to click “Accept Now” button on Eclipse Foundation Software User Agreement screen.

8. You will see a progress bar stating that the EclipseInstaller is being installed.

9. Once it completes installation, there will a Launch button shows up. You can click it to open the Eclipse IDE.

10. You can also launch the Eclipse IDE using the desktop shortcut.
